If your kids eat with their elbows on the table, talk with with their mouths full, and don't ask for permission to leave the dinner table, the
50's Prime Time Cafe is the perfect place to have someone else take a turn at teaching them manners.
The decor may be something straight out of
Nick at Nite, but the knick-knacks,
old Coca-Cola bottles, and vintage appliances really make the restaurant look like the set of a great 50's sitcom come to life. The menu boasts a pleasant array of comfort food, including family favorites like
meatloaf, chicken, and pot roast, and classically good
milkshakes.
The real stars of the restaurant are the servers. In true Disney fashion, they will chastize you for not finishing your vegetables, sit the kids in a corner if they talk back, and generally shame diners - all in good fun - for any other bad table manners on display, whether advertant or inadvertant.
The
kids' menu includes a great drink - the Mickey's Be-Bop - a cherry flavored Sprite with a glowing electric ice cube served in a souvenier cup, and good ol' standards like peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, and hot dogs.
Priority seating is recommended! Call 407.WDW.DINE to arrange your meal. Admission to
Disney's Hollywood Studios is required to dine at the
50's Prime Time Cafe.
