The 92nd Street Y offers a variety of activities and programs for parents and children, as well as information, resources, and support. There are classes for parents-to-be (Lamaze, tips on caring for newborns), for parents alone (language development, choosing a kindergarten), and for parents and kids together (story time, cooking, and crafts). A new initiative called 92nd Street Y Wonderplay: Early Childhood Learning provides an umbrella for all the programs that the Y offers for children ages five and under and their parents (including Parenting Center programs as well as art, dance, music, sports. and more) and can be found on the Y's website.

All classes are open to non-members, but Parenting Center members get priority registration. Calendar and room locations are provided upon registration. Participating children must have reached the appropriate age by the first class session.
