Awesome instructors, great location, just plain fun
These people deserve it, they actually care for their students more then just teaching, because they truly help foster and kindle their spirits, and help to show them their capable of more then they think. They are so dedicated to their cause, they actually loose money on running the school, but don't quit running it because these families have no other schools nearby that would care for them. They help to make todays kids of maine into the leaders of tomorrow.
An excellent program starting as young as 2 years old (the Tiny Tigers are SO CUTE!) Positive energy fun classes keep kids moving while teaching self confidence and respect. There is a lot of opportunity to compete which is encouraged and supported but not pressured. There are ATA schools in many parts of the country so visiting and participating at other schools while away from home, or after moving to a new area is possible.
After 6 years of instruction and a black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate, our son wanted to find a new discipline. Newly opened in our area, this ATA school was the most organized, fun, focused, and welcoming martial arts program we found. He switched, eventually became a junior instructor, and has achieved his first and second degree black belts. We have seen many kids come into this program gain focus, discipline, esteem, and confidence... all while having fun. I highly recommend this school.
