Alamitos Beach is, for the most part, a locals-only beach. No hotels access it, and it's largely unknown to those outside the immediate area. Activities abound, like kayaking, sailing, gondolas, and kite surfing - many of which can be rented right on the beach. Life guards are on duty all summer, when many camps hit this beach as well.
