Basil's By the Lake offers fresh and delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a no-fuss setting with a panoramic view of Sacramento Radisson Hotel's private lake and grounds. The restaurant also offers a popular Sunday brunch.

For dinner, parents can choose from a variety of gourmet soups, salads, and antipasta dishes, as well as pastas, meats, and fresh seafood. We tried the risotto - and it was perfectly flavored with a light texture.

Kid-friendly fare includes chicken strips, grilled cheese, quesadillas, burgers, and pasta.

The wait staff were all extraordinarily warm - and welcoming to the kids.
