Whether you live for the outdoors or not, Bass Pro Shop is a real treat to visit: The 165,000-square-foot, two-story building is built of logs and rocks, reminiscent of old-style Adirondack hunting lodges. The rock fireplace is cozy, as are the rocking chairs out on the "front porch." A trout stream meanders through the store, populated by brook, brown, and the colorful rainbow trout.

Kids flock to the 40,000-gallon freshwater aquarium, which is fed by a canyon waterfall and features fish native to the area. They also can try their hand (or feet!) on the a rock-climbing wall or the indoor archery range.

The store carries every type of gear imaginable for hunting, fishing, camping, water sports, and golf. It also carries clothing, gifts, and footwear.
