Built in the late nineteenth century on Ocean Avenue, the Roy Jones House, which serves as home to the
California Heritage Museum, was moved in 1974 to its current location in the heart of fun and funky Main Street to save it from the wrecking ball. The Victorian home is now an important fixture to the popular shopping, brunching, and strolling area.
Exhibitions are generally displays of American decorative and fine arts. The book shop offers books, prints, and other gifts.
The
Main Street Farmers' Market is held in the museum's parking lot on Sundays.
