Camp Foxtail, a resident or sleepover camp, offers summer adventure for Girl Scouts, who can discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Horseback riding, hiking, campfire cookouts, science experiments, crafts, and mountain biking are just some of the activities scheduled.
The camp is located within the Toiyabe National Forest, high in the Spring Mountain Range, and is managed by Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada. It is accredited by the American Camping Association.
Stays range from three to 11 days at a time, and campers live in 1 of 4 units which have either platform tents or cabins, flush toilets or latrines, washstands, shower houses and a fire circle. Counselors/staff live in a separate cabin or tent, central within the unit, but close enough to supervise campers.
