Chestnut Ridge is a 486-acre Columbus Metro Park located in northwestern Fairfield County. Children (ages 15 and under) can fish in the park's two-acre pond, and cross-country trails offer visitors a workout whether the surfaces are snow-covered or not.
A raised observation deck just a short hike from the parking lot provides a treetop view and an excellent spot to watch for the more than 70 species of birds that have been seen at Chestnut Ridge; the observation desk also offers views of the Columbus skyline.
