About Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert
The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert offers more than 50 hands-on exhibits for children of all ages, on topics including science, art, physical education, how things work, career options, and hidden treasures.
Classes for kids are offered in art, cooking, and other subjects and special events are held throughout the year.
A "Discovery" Birthday Party includes discovery time in the museum, use of a private party room for two hours, a Birthday Party Host, decorations, invitations, refreshments - including a personalized CDMOD birthday cake, ice cream and fruit drinks, and a special gift for the birthday child.
Camp programs, for kids ages five to nine, are offered for ten weeks of summer, the day after the Thanksgiving holiday, two weeks at the December holiday, most inservice days for traditional schools, and one week during local spring break.
Annual museum memberships are $25 per person.
