Sometimes we're a bit scattered when we leave the house with the kids, and we forget to grab an extra jacket, just in case. Or we can't imagine that someone will be cold where we're going. But, inevitably, a little voice will announce that they're a bit chilly. How do we deal with schlepping extra coats or jackets that the kids won't carry themselves? We've discovered a terrific answer. The Chilly Jilly is a crease-proof fabric wrap that can be worn as a shawl, scarf, or sarong. It folds up quite small in a protective (but pretty) pouch that can be tossed in a diaper bag or purse for easy temperature control wherever you are. We use ours when we go out sans kiddos, but it's a very convenient way to solve the "shivering kid in a restaurant" problem. A variety of neutral colors helps the Chilly Jilly coordinate with any outfit, and it's washable. Now we only have one question. Why didn't we think of this?
