Dawn Ranch Lodge in the heart of Guerneville offers casual motel-like accommodations with the extraordinary benefit of Guerneville River access.

The lodge's regular cabins are much too small for a family, even a family of three. However, the two-bedroom cottages, King Size cottages, or Creekside cottages are suitable for the whole clan. When booking be certain to tell the lodge how many family members the cabin need to sleep; there's no room here in which to sneak even the smallest of children!

Accommodations are modest - if you're looking for luxury, this isn't the place. However, parents who want easy access to inner-tubing on the river or a big grassy lawn for playing ball, are quite happy at Dawn Ranch Lodge.

The lodge's on-site restaurant, Roadhouse Restaurant, offers a full menu on weekends and a smaller burgers-'n-fish pub menu Sunday through Thursday. Although there is no children's menu, we did note the availability of mac 'n cheese.

The lodge is located within walking distance of many of Guerneville's boutiques, bookstores, cafes, and restaurants.
