The Eliza Furnace Trail, also known as the Jail Trail, is a paved, multi-purpose trail that runs along Second Avenue (parallel to the Monongahela River) for approximately 2.5 miles, from the intersection of Grant and First Street (behind the PNC Firstside Center) to the city's Greenfield neighborhood. Eliza Furnace Trail connects to the Panther Hollow Trail with Oakland at Grant Street and First Avenue. Free parking is available in a lot off of Second Avenue, between Hot Metal Road and Greenfield Avenue.
getting there:
The trail runs through downtown Pittsburgh, along Second Avenue and the Parkway East (I-376).
