Hippity, hoppity,
Easter's on its way and venues throughout the Bay Area area are offering
plenty of activities to help kids and families celebrate the holiday.
April 4: Families can hop on over to
Crown Beach Park for the
Spring Egg Scramble, an Easter celebration that features arts and crafts, games, prizes, photos with the Easter Bunny, and a park-sized egg hunt.
April 11: The Easter Bunny arrives by
helicopter at
Hiller Aviation Museum, passes out Easter eggs to all the children, and poses for some "flying bunny" pics.
April 11: Mosswood Park's
Spring Egg Hunt offers live entertainment,
basket decoration, raffles, refreshments, jumpers, and of course, an egg hunt.
April 11: Kids can
visit the Easter Bunny at the jellybean headquarters at the Jelly Belly Visitor Center.
April 11: The San Carlos Lion's Club presents its
annual egg hunt for children ages three to eight.
April 12: Kids are invited to hunt for thousands of chocolate candy eggs - hidden by the Easter Bunny in a redwood forest - and win prizes during an event at
Roaring Camp Railroads. Special Easter crafts and games for families and kids are included.
April 12: Kids can meet the Easter Bunny and participate in an egg hunt on the big grassy lawn at
Park Chalet restaurant after Easter brunch.

Union Street hosts its
18th annual Easter Festival, featuring live music, food vendors, and lots of children's entertainment - including inflatable bounces, an Easter Bonnet Contest, a climbing wall, rides, games, a petting zoo, pony rides, and more.
April 19: Preschoolers and their caregivers can make fun, easy crafts celebrating Eastern Orthodox Easter at the
Ingleside Branch Library during a free afternoon program.
