Farm Country, located in
Thanksgiving Point, takes visitors on an educational journey back to the farm where they can see what it takes to run a farm and bring food to our tables. Guests learn where food comes from through exhibits and interactions with animals and Farm Country staff. Many of the farm's animals are accessible for petting and feeding. A
wagon or pony ride is included in the price of admission, with additional rides offered at $2 each. Carriage rides are available by reservation only and cost an additional $20; call for more information and for availability.
Daily activities at
Farm Country include Animals up Close at 12n and Cow Milking at 6pm. During
Animals up Close, a farm employee brings out an animal for a close encounter with visitors, and shares information about the animal. The
Cow Milking activity allows visitors a chance to see where milk comes from and learn about the process that makes it safe for us to drink. Guests can even try their hand at milking a cow the old fashioned way.
On many months throughout the year the farm focuses on a theme and offers events celebrating that topic. Monthly themes are as follows:
April - Baby Animal Birthday Celebrations
May - Lamb and Wool Festival
June - Dairy Days
August - Pig N Pork Day
September - Horse Power
October - Barnyard Boo
December - Holiday Lights
Check the venue's website for details about any of these event offerings.
The
Farm Country Store sells a variety of farm related products, including books, toys, puzzles, replica farm animals, western hats and boots, sweet treats, and more. This is also the place to stock up on food to feed to the barnyard critters.
Farm Country
birthday parties include the use of a party room, theme decorations, a party coordinator, cake, ice cream, soda, a visit from a farm animal, pony or wagon rides, and a bag of animal food for each child to feed to the animals. Call 801.768.4929 for more information or to schedule a party.
