Easter activities abound in and around Atlanta, and we've rounded up a highlights list of free or inexpensive events for kids and families so you can ring in spring without wringing out your wallet! Don't be late for the egg hunts; most start promptly and end about 30 seconds later as the kids feverishly scoop up the goods.

April 3, 2009 - Henry County Parks and Recreation hosts a nighttime egg hunt with an Easter Bunny visit, face painting, and treats.

April 4, 2009 - Decatur Square hosts an Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your own basket.

April 4, 2009 - The Acworth Egg Drop at Cauble Park promises thousands of eggs are up for grabs, on the ground and coming down from the sky via helicopter.

April 4, 2009 - Swift-Cantrell Park is the site for Kennesaw's Easter Egg Scramble, which includes a hunt for thousands of eggs, a petting zoo, and crafts.

April 5, 2009 - The Easter Eggstravaganza at TW Briscoe Park offers an egg hunt, moonwalks, pony rides, and a petting zoo.

April 6, 2009 - At the Bunny Rabbit Pajama Storytime held by the Fairburn Branch Library, children can hear stories about bunny rabbits, make their own woven Easter Basket, and go on an egg hunt. April 11, 2009 - Red Top Mountain hosts an Easter Celebration that includes photos with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and games.

April 11, 2009 - East Cobb Park's annual Egg Hunt features games, activities, live music, and of course, plenty of hidden eggs.

April 11, 2009 - Mall of Georgia's annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place in The Village for prizes.
