Saturday, October 23
10:30am-1pm:
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Harvest Festival on Pier 6 features a Halloween parade, pumpkin decorating, a performance by The Deedle Deedle Dees, face painting, storytelling, art activities, and more. [DUMBO]

Sunday, October 24
12n-6pm:
Brooklyn Botanic Garden's annual Ghouls and Gourds Festival includes musical performances by family-friendly artists Slavic Soul Party, Suzi Shelton, Moona Luna; collaborative arts & crafts projects such as the Pumpkin Patchwork Project; a costume parade; readings and book signings by renowned authors and illustrators; Weird Workshops; and more.[Park Slope]

Brownsville Rec unleashes its annual Haunted House - not too scary, so it's good for the whole family.

5:30pm-9pm:
PS 132's annual Harvest Festival features features creepy crafts, a spooky science lab, a zany zombie dance party, and more. [Williamsburg]

Head to Pierrepont Park for The Brooklyn Heights Playground Committee's annual Halloween Parade.

12n-3pm
Deep in the Park, where there is no one to hear you scream, Prospect Park's Lookout Hill is haunted by witches, ghosts, and vampires, lurking in the dark forest. There's also a carnival on the Nethermead that features fun, games, seasonal treats, and a puppet parade.

11am-4pm
The fifth annual Puppetry Arts Haunted Halloween Carnival is free, with small fees ($2-$3) for the haunted and bounce houses. And the first 200 kids to arrive receive a free trick or treat bag!

12n-3pm
Head to Fort Greene's Halloween Festival for hay rides, face painting, a pumpkin patch, and a costume parade.

2:30pm-4:30pm
City Stomp Music hosts a Halloween party for little ones (ages 6 months to 6 years) and their adult companions, with a special performance by the City Stomp Band.

3:30pm
The annual Halloween Show at South Oxford Space is a wild and unpredictable improv competition between two teams of quick witted actors who challenge each other to create scenes on the spot. The audience suggests ideas (Halloween-themed, please) and kids can vote to determine the which improv team did the best job. Audience members are encouraged to come in costume, Halloween goodie bags are given out to attending children, and a neighborhood costume parade of audience and performers directly follows the show.

Saturday, October 30-Sunday, October 31
11am-4pm
Families can have a frightfully good time at the Prospect Park Zoo's extreme Halloween party, Boo at the Zoo, with spooky barn tours, festive crafts, animals devouring their Halloween treats, and more - in Halloween costume, of course!

Sunday, October 31
10am-5pm
Still Hip's Halloween Block Party promises face painting, a full music line-up (The Blue Potatoes, Tres Leches, Rene Collins, The Itty Biddies, Jah C and The Antidote, and The Bill Ware Trio) and a 4pm costume parade.

Barking Cat Studio hosts a Halloween Open House with loads of craft activities, tricks, and treats!

Little monsters and ghouls are invited to Habana Outpost's Halloween Party for candy, games, crafts, prizes, live DJ music, and more.

2pm-5pm
BAM's ninth annual BAMboo!, a Halloween extravaganza that brings out Brooklyn's best trick-or-treaters features a haunted house maze, roaming entertainers, storytelling, games, candy giveaways, and costume contests for kids of all ages, right in front of BAM.

6pm-8:30pm
BOO-gie down at Moxie Spot's Monster Mash Dance Party - a great way to burn off candy calories.
