Gator's Dockside is a popular Central Florida restaurant chain featuring a casual, sports-inspired family atmosphere. Restaurants feature numerous TVs broadcasting the major sports events of the hour, and kids can't help but get excited over the sizable video arcade.(Note to grown-ups: Bring quarters.) Perhaps best known for their wings - served grilled, breaded, or "naked" with a choice of 15 sauces - Gator's also is a great place to grab burgers, salads, and sizeable sandwiches, and a small selection of pasta, barbeque, and seafood dishes. (Looking for something out-of-the-ordinary? Order the Monte Cristo - a turkey and ham sandwich with Swiss and American cheese that's battered, deep fried, and served with raspberry jam and a sprinking of powdered sugar - and see if the kids react with "eewwws" or "aaahhhs.") The "Little Gator" menu, for kids 12 and under, offers child-size portions of adult entrees such as wings, pasta marinara or alfredo, as well as mini-burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, personal-size pizzas, mac & cheese, and corn dogs. All kids' meals include fries, chips, or cole slaw, Motts applesauce, and a choice of beverages.
