about Hershey Lodge:

Hershey Lodge - located less than two miles from the entrances of Hersheypark, GIANT Center, Hershey's Chocolate World, Hershey Trolley Works, and Hershey Gardens - is a full-service resort that provides excellent accommodations for families visiting the Hershey area.

The hotel offers a wide array of amenities and activities, including Hershey's product character appearances, a heated indoor swimming pool complex, a playground, a game room, shuffleboard, sports equipment and board games, a fitness room, family bingo, and more.

During the summer, guests can also enjoy organized children's activities, two outdoor swimming pools, mini golf, outdoor basketball and tennis, early access to select rides at Hersheypark, and free shuttle service that runs directly from the hotel to the entrances of Hershey's Chocolate World and Hersheypark. Shuttle buses depart every 20-30 minutes beginning one hour before Hersheypark opens until an hour after the park closes.

The staff at Hershey Lodge is extremely friendly and the overall atmosphere is very child-focused. A Kids' Check-in, located in the lobby, adjacent to the hotel's front desk, offers keepsake lanyards that kids can fill out with their names and room numbers, candy guessing jars, small prizes, and candy samples. Each guest room features a small refrigerator; pack-and-plays are available upon request and babysitting is available with advance notice.

Hershey Lodge is home to five restaurants, including the Cocoa Beanery, Lebbie Lebkicher's, The Bears' Den, Hershey Grill, and The Forebay. Kids are welcome at each venue; children's menu items and coloring pages are provided. Room service is also available.

Hershey Lodge sells discounted admission tickets to Hersheypark and the nearby Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex. Guests of the hotel receive complimentary general admission to Hershey Gardens; tickets are required and available at the front desk.

tips:

Hotel guests receive complimentary general admission to Hershey Gardens and The Hershey Story: The Museum on Chocolate Avenue! Be sure to request a daily activity sheet at the concierge desk and note that, after making up the rooms, housekeeping leaves a trail of Hershey's Kisses at the foot of each bed. Those with a sensitivity to cow's milk can find individual servings of chocolate and vanilla soy milk in Cocoa Beanery. If you visit during the summer, plan on taking the (air conditioned!) shuttle to Hersheypark - it's comfortable, reliable, and eliminates all traffic and parking hassles.

getting there:

From Philadelphia: Take the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) West to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76). Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) West to exit 266; turn left onto 72 North. Follow 72 North to 322 West, and then take 322 West into Hershey (approximately 12 miles). Turn right onto University Drive and take the first left into the entrance to hotel.
