My son started giving me discipline problems at age 4. I have tried 5 different child psychologists with no improvement; one psychologist even put him on medicine to try to control the behavior issues. Which in actuality made him worse. Last year a friend introduced me to Mr. Lockhart at the Karate Plus Martial Arts Personal Development Center. At first I was very skeptical because I figured if I couldnâ??t control him, now at age 11 then learning Karate would make him even more out of control and destructive. After talking it over I was assured that he will learn respect, self-discipline and self-control. Anyway I decided to give it a try. It was one of the best decisions that I have made. Almost immediately I noticed a big improvement with his behavior issues, being respectful and helping out with some housework. If at anytime he starts slipping up I just mention it to his teachers and they pull him aside and remind him of his black belt creed so by the time we leave the school and heading home his attitude is back on track. And lastly they treat you like one of there family vice just another customer.

Wonderful Place!! Teachers and staff are great! They teach respect and discipline by focusing on the whole child. They involve home and school which is great! I've seen a great improvement in my son since starting him in Sept 2011. If your looking for a karate home, try this one!!

I Love this school!! My son has been attending since Sept 2011 and he is doing so much better in school and hes more confident. He's respectful and helps out more at home. The teachers and staff are wonderful and the school focuses on the whole child and involves school and home. If your looking for a karate home, try Karate Plus!

My son and I love this dojo! We have been members for about a year and we have gained so much from participating. My son has gotten stronger, more disciplined, and more mature. I have lost some weight, gained energy, found muscles I never knew I had, and have been having a blast! As a middle-aged teacher, it is wonderful to try something that is hard for me and to watch excellent teachers in another discipline in action.
Dr. Lockhart and his staff are incredibly accomplished. More important to me is the fact that they know how to be inclusive to all ages and abilities and that the dojo is very family-oriented. This dojo is filled with upstanding, family-oriented, caring men and women on staff and in class. The dojo gives us motivation and a sense of belonging. I know my son is well cared for there and that the lessons we are learning there will stay with us for a lifetime.

Pricing is ridiculous! They lock you in a contract that is almost impossible to get out of and try to act as if you are the idiot for not understanding what a scam they really are! The staff is rude and unfriendly with the exception of mr. lockharts son who is great with the kids. The classes are 30 minutes and they spend 20 minutes "warming up" most of their reviews are posted by employees or family members...

Great instructors. Focus is on values for the tiny tots to grow on, and the kids realy look forward to some great fun and exercise. They learn life skills while having fun.

My son is 14 years old and has been part of the Karate Plus Martial Arts Personal Development Center for just over two years now. The results have been IMPRESSIVE!!!That was my review last year. My son is now a Brown Belt and.... I AM A GOLD BELT!!!! But that will be very temporarily since I am committed to Black Belt Excellence WOOOHOOOOO!!! Why sign up and pay a gym to only exercise? You can exercise, learn self defense, self discipline and have fun for about the same price!

My girls look forward to practice and have a great time. It is family oriented and the instructors are friendly and just down to earth people so easy to talk to. My girls have learned so much in just a few months and this gives them goals to achieve. I recommend it to all of you.

This is a great Karate Camp for kids. They had so much fun last year, they really didn't want to go home. AWESOME job guys :)

KPMA is a great facility for the whole family. You are always welcomed and made to feel at home. They are extremely professional. I highly recommend KPMA.

My son has been part of the Karate Plus Martial Arts Personal Development Centerfor just over one year now. The results have been IMPRESSIVE!!! Just after 8 months my son's PE teacher congratulated us for Bryan's progress. Before before being enrolled in the Karate Plus Martial Arts Personal Development Center my son could only do ONE pull up in the PE test. After 8 months in the program my son did ELEVEN pull ups and was number 2 in his class!!!!! Not only his physical condition has improved, only after one month his self esteem had improved dramatically. He went from being scared at school to confronting his agressors and there was no violence either! I thank God for Dr Lockhart and his family. They have been a blessing! So much that I am now in the process of enrolling in the program myself!!! Five stars are not enough!! TEN STARS IS MORE LIKE IT!!!!

Above and Beyond
I came into the center after going through a tragic loss in my family. Such a terrible loss, affected not only our minds but also our bodies. My 10 year old daughter started taking the course and the classes quickly proved to be great exercise for the family full of fun and yet, focused. The atmosphere and the dedication of the staff goes above and beyond what you would expect. I expected expertise and professionalism. What we received was expertise, professionalism, dedication, healing and a place you will feel cared for, comfortable and at home.

I enrolled both my 4 year old son and myself into this center. The classes were well organized where we both could participate. We gained mental and physical strength from all the lessons. My son loved going and I really enjoyed seeing him interact with the other students and just being himself. A wonderful experience!

I have been associated with Karate Plus Martial Arts Personal Development Center since 1999. Under their guidance, I not only earned my first-degree black belt, I gained increased self-confidence and physical fitness levels I had been seeking most of my life. Their structure, teaching methods, outstanding empathy encouraged me not only to go on and achieve my second-degree, but also to venture out and try new and exciting things that life has to offer.
