Headquartered in Chicago, IL, La Petite Academy is one of the largest privately-held early childhood education companies. The private preschool uses the Montessori approach to learning.

Each academy location is state-licensed, and offers programs for seven different age groups from ages six weeks to 12 years. Private kindergarten, and before-and-after school programs (with transportation) are available. Two snacks and lunch are provided. The center gives parents a report card at the end of each day, reporting on each child's activities, meals, naps, and behavior. Parents provide diapers, wipes, and bedding for their children. The cost of fulltime care varies by age, for newborns through age five. Half days and before and afterschool care are available too.
