I took one look at Shawn's work and had to have her take pictures of my son. The end result is art, and she is accommodating, easy to work with, and endlessly patient. I can't imagine a better experience.

Shawn did superb work for me, first photo-shoting my one-year-old granddaughter in Washington, DC and then my entire family during their Christmas-holiday visit to our home in Tucson later. Cannot imagine receiving better technical or creative ability. She is "worth every penny"--and, besides, is a joy to "watch in action!"

When I saw Shawn's photos of my friend's baby I knew I HAD to have a session with her when my little one was born. FABULOUS photographer! She did my entire family of 6 and even let our dog get into the action! She also did my not-so-cooperative 17 year old son for senior pictures which turned out incredible. HIGHLY recommended. I think her own mothering skills helps with the kids.

I have never seen a photographer so fully capture what's inside children! Shaun has taken photos of many children I know and each photograph shows so many layers of the child -- she captures the imp in impish children, the depth of thoughtful children and the complexity in all children (and somehow they all cooperate with her...). I cannot recommend her enough!

LifeShadows Photography and Shawn truly captured the essence, spirit and character of my children. Henry felt comfortable and at ease in his familiar surroundings. It is no easy feat to captivate a two-year-old for a longer duration. Shawn had creative vision with Henry, but also wanted our input to create "true" situations for him. I loved that she was free spirited and allowed Henry to take the lead. She was at ease working with our newborn. She helped to create so many priceless photos of her first few days. There were so many beautiful photos, it was difficult to decide. Her photos invoked real emotion and froze that moment in time for us. I only hope to have Shawn capture all of Henry and Piper's special (and ordinary) life moments. I highly recommend LifeShadows photography!

We have used LifeShadows Photography for our son's pictures, family pictures, and extended family pics. On our last extended family picture, we had 5 kids under 4 and grandparents. Shawn took the absolute best pictures, and was able to capture priceless expressions on all 5 kids. We couldn't believe it, b/c it was no easy task. We have since added 2 more kids to the family, and can't wait for Shawn to capture them and all their cousins in photos as well. Shawn is an amazing photographer!! She came to us in the hospital after we had to take our son off of life support. She was so understanding and sensitive to our situation. She took pictures that we will treasure in memory of our son for ever. She has an emotional connection with her clients that is so hard to explain but was there from the very first session. Our second session was with our second son at 1 week. She once again captured beautiful moments. She is even great with my hubby who is really not a picture person. When I saw my friends baby photos I knew that I HAD to have the same photographer. Shawn took our son's picture a few days after he was born and her relaxed and professional manner set us at ease right away. She took her time with our little guy until everything was perfect to take his pictures. Shawn is absolutely great! My husband is not a picture person but she always manages to get great shots of him!! and she was absolutely wonderful with both of our son's. Shawn first photographed our family in the hospital when our son was first taken off of life support. We knew we would lose him soon and she was so understanding with all of teh emotions we were going through and still managed to capture the most beautiful moments that we now have to treasure forever.
