Monart Drawing Studio is more than a method that teaches people how to draw. Leading educators recognize Monart as a teaching system that helps students to learn how to focus and concentrate, make decisions, solve problems, sequence and develop hand-eye coordination. In a non-competitive, peaceful environment, students learn that drawing is a teachable skill in which anyone can be successful, that there is no right or wrong way to draw, and that there are no mistakes in art.
Monart provides classes for art students of all ages, starting at three years of age. All the classes incorporate the Monart Method and are based on the book Drawing with Children by Mona Brookes. Students learn how to break down complex images using the five basic Elements of Shape, making it possible for them to recreate the images on paper.
Summer and Holiday Camps are also offered for children ages three through 12.
