I really liked the farm when we went for the pumpkin patch. The petting farm animals were cute. There were more than enough pumpkins to go around. While they had run out of good stickers, they did come out with more when we asked them about it. I don't remember there being any fly problems, but either way, it's a farm, not an indoor over sanitized preschool. We are outdoorsy people though, I guess not everyone is. The reason I give only 3 stars is because we liked it so much we wanted to have our daughters 2nd birthday there, but after two calls nobody has returned my call. Their website doesn't clearly specify when they are open throughout the year but it appears that you can schedule a birthday online for any date. Problem is we had questions before we went ahead and scheduled, but, as I said, nobody has called me to answer those questions. It makes me sad cause I want to support the whole small family farm thing, but they don't seem to want my money! Even if it is their off season, common courtesy would be to return my call and let me know (or be more specific about it on their website)

We went to this farm for their October Pumpkin Patch and Easter Egg hunt, my daughter and I had a ton of fun there. As for the empty eggs, everyone who entered the farm received a wrist band to redeem for a big bag of candy. I actually thought, due to the popularity of the event having the kids pick empty eggs was a smart idea, and didn't lead to chaos :-), of course my child is only 1 so she is easily pleased. The farm was clean and my daughter had fun running around, having her face painted and picking pumpkins.

This farm had listed themselves on various family event websites that on April 3 2010, 10am -1pm, would have egg hunts according to age group on their farm. Admission fees at $2 per adult and $5 per child inclusive of a bag of candies. I would like to believe the farm owner was underprepared for the event but I personally do not think so. As we were lining to buy tickets at 10:30am, we saw constant flow of families walking out of the farm without any eggs or candies in their children baskets. I spotted only a few families had bags of candies in their hands. By the time we got to the ticket stand, the woman behind the cash register shouted, "$2 dollars per person and we ran out of candies." She took my money and shouted loudly "Next!" I guess I had passed my window of opportunity to ask her a question so I told my two kids, "Oh well, there's the egg hunt candies." And in we went. Only to be disappointed to find out the EGGS ON THE GROUND ARE EMPTY!!! NO CANDIES!!!!!! The eggs were not scattered out-more like left on the ground in clusters. So, when the woman at the cash register said "ran out if candies" I wondered which she meant-candies that comes with child's admission or candies in eggs for the hunt. If it is the latter, the farm owner had sure prepared a hell lot of colorful EMPTY EGGS!!! Who on earth would run an egghunt without any candy in the eggs?? I saw kids were upset (mine too) and parents had to tell them "the idea is to have the Easter Bunny fill it up tomorrow". The food and drink stands were definitely well prepared for the demands.
The farm was rundown. Weeds overfilled what suppose to be children hay maze. Haystacks pile was wobberly, not done properly for kids to climb and play. And constantly had to fan flies off my face. Shame on the farm owner to have the audacity make financial gain with children's event and not give back.

We were really disappointed in the farm. It could have been cleaner and everyone was fanning the flies. We will go to the Superstition Springs cow farm the next time.
