The Naval Air Station Oceana supports the Navy's Atlantic and Pacific Fleet Force of Strike-Fighter Aircraft & Joint/Inter-Agency Operations. Daily Base tours are offered during the summer by Carey Transportation in Virginia Beach. Aviation Historical Park - with 13 aircraft on display - is open daily to military and DOD employees and people on the base tour. There is also an observation park located on Oceana Boulevard at the POW/MIA Flame of Hope Memorial Park, which is near the runways to watch aircraft take-off and land. The POW/MIA Flame of Hope Memorial Park is open to the public.
