about New York Public Library for the Performing Arts:
The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts houses the world's most extensive combination of circulating and non-circulating reference and research materials on music, dance, theatre, recorded sound, and other performing arts.
tips:
Every child should have his or her own Library Card. The powerful feeling of recognition as a being in his or her own right goes a long way toward developing a love of libraries and reading. Children from birth to age 11 can have their own cards; applications must be signed and completed by a parent or guardian. Teenagers in 7th grade and up (or 12 and older) must present identification that indicates their grade level or age: a program card, report card, birth certificate, or letter from a teacher on school stationary. Visit www.nypl.org for more information.
getting there:
The Library is located between the Metropolitan Opera House and the Vivian Beaumont Theater.
