Pete's is a fantastic addition to the DC pizza scene - which has been sorely lacking over the years. The pies are large, covered with delicious toppings (think roasted garlic, caramelized onion, fried Italian eggplant, and white clams in addition to the standards), all on a wonderful, chewy crust. Pizza is available by the slice as well.

Opened by a family from New Haven, Connecticut, the restaurant also serves pastas (with a couple of kid-friendly choices), salads, paninis, and desserts - including locally-made gelato. In fact, the restaurant strives to use organic and local ingredients whenever possible.

Adults will be happy to find a small selection of beers, wines, and Italian coffee, along with fountain drinks and an array of juices and teas. There are no high chairs, but booster seats that attach to the chairs are available.
