about Ride the Ducks :

Looking for a tour of the city that will "quack you up?" Ride the Ducks is a tour and comedy show all in one. And unlike any other city site seeing tour, this one is by land and by sea!

Our family grinned the whole way through this 90-minute excursion, which zipped around from Fisherman?s Wharf to North Beach, through Chinatown, around Union Square, to South of Market and along the Embarcadero straight into the Bay.

Our able driver, Captain John, entertained us with city trivia, historical stories, and duck puns from start to finish. If every tour driver is as animated and friendly as he is, you can?t go wrong.

Obviously the transition from land to the Bay is one of the most fun parts of the trip: hands up everybody ? here we go! Other highlights include the crowd-pleasing music like, I left my heart in San Francisco, Don?t Rock the Boat, Sugar, Sugar, and We Will Rock You. Oh, and riders loved the Chinese version of Downtown as we whooped it up through Chinatown and the Italian version of I Will Survive as we made our way through beautiful North Beach.

Before we boarded, most passengers opted to buy the $2 quackers in the shape of duckbills. Throughout the trip, our cheery driver would often yell out, ?Quack if you like it!? and we?d all respond with a resounding chorus of quacks.

The water portion of the journey was fairly slow and not at all scary, even for the youngest of passengers. In fact, anyone who wanted to could take Captain John?s place at the helm as the driver. (One happy Nickelodeon writer even got to do a donut!) This is a great photo op for parents, so have your cameras ready.

One member of our party is usually prone to seasickness, but the ride didn?t jostle his sensitive belly at all. But the water is different all the time, so if you have a sensitive member of the family, be sure to check with the staff when you buy your tickets to get a sense of the water the day of your ride.

Note: tours also begin in Union Square, but you still experience that exhilarating drive into the water!

There are plenty of site seeing tours in San Francisco, but if you want one that will entertain the whole clan, we highly recommend Rise the Ducks.
