As the name suggests, Roos-N-More serves as home to kangaroos - lots of them. However, the rural animal sanctuary near Moapa also boasts two camels, emus, lemurs, llamas, otters, a zebra, a bearcat, and several more typical barnyard critters. Nearly 200 animals populate the sanctuary.
Veterinarians Valerie and Jay Holt operate the venue, sharing their own love and expertise about large zoo animals with the public. During guided tours, visitors can touch the animals and help feed them, all the while learning about their care, lifecycles, and quirky behaviors. The venue can host birthday parties and school groups.
Weekly hours can vary a bit, so plan on calling ahead and making a reservation before hopping in the car.
