When ParentsConnect Local visited the Sacramento Radisson Hotel, we met a mother of a 14-year-old boy who told us, "Our Sacramento stay has been so much fun - and we haven't even left the hotel."

Sacramento Radisson Hotel offers families a pool area with Jacuzzi, large lake with paddleboats, bicycles for rent, gift store, coffeehouse, and award-winning restaurant.

The rooms are large, clean, and airy, with not a lot of frills, but all the necessary amenities such as coffee maker, internet access, television set, and work desk. The best thing about the rooms - besides how roomy they are! - are the state-of-the-art beds, which are easily adjustable for softness and hardness using remote controlled sleep numbers.

A Fitness Center includes free weights, treadmills, and a StairMaster. The center is small, but impeccably clean.

The hotel sits on a huge piece of land, with a lovely lake and fountain as the centerpiece. Be sure to ask for a room with a view! Many of the rooms also offer small deck or balcony areas. Picnic tables are available for use outside the Conference Center. Children can play in the grassy area and watch the nearby geese.

Dining is available on site at Basil's By the Lake. A coffee shop, Java Coast, is also on site.
