Schick-Ostalasa Farmstead050
in Boise, ID 83714about Schick-Ostalasa Farmstead:
The Schick-Ostalasa Farmstead consists of a 140 year old two-story farmhouse and several barns and outbuildings, including a cookhouse, a horse and cow barn, a chicken house, and a root cellar. The farmhouse - one of the oldest intact houses in Idaho - was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in August of 2006. The Dry Creek Historical Society is responsible for the rehabilitation and management of the farmstead. The site has been renovated for use as a living history education center. A small rental area is available for meetings and social events; reservations are required.
getting there:
From Seaman's Gulch, head down Hidden Springs Drive and turn left on Farm View Court. From Dry Creek, take Humphrey's Way to Farm View Court.
