The Science Center of Pinellas County provides Pinellas County school children a place to go for field trips, seasonal workshops, and other educational outings.
The seven-acre campus includes The Spirit of Columbia Theater & Planetarium and the Carol Samuels Observatory. The Science Center also houses a 600-gallon marine touch tank and an alligator habitat.
Outside the facility, visitors can explore a replica of a 16th Century Native American Village as well as the White Gardens and Mosaic Walk of The States, a walkway featuring mosaics depicting the bird, flower and shape of each state of the union.
