Shakespeare in Delaware Park's free summer performances are a great family experience. The group presents two shows each season, and the outdoor, dinner-on-a-blanket atmosphere is a great way to introduce young kids to classical theater.

The company's Shakespeariance program is a wonderful opportunity for older kids to experience theater up close. The five-week program costs $350 and offers kids a full week that includes all-day theater classes, followed by an evening of working behind the scenes, and sometimes on the stage, during the evening performances. The final Friday of the play's run, the kids mount their own pre-show that they've been working on in class. This program is for kids ages 13 and up.
