The Silver Spring Civic Building / Ice Skating Rink at Veterans Plaza offers a variety of spaces for community use, including a great hall, multipurpose rooms, and a gallery space indoors, and a lawn and covered plaza outdoors. The outdoor space is used for concerts during the warmer months and becomes an ice skating rink in the winter.
The rink rents figure and hockey skates - and even has double bladed ones for toddlers. Admission includes a two-hour spin on the ice.
