I am 61, I and some of my friends went to TGR,and we all had a very nice time. I do not know why pimk did not like it but we all had a good time.

I disagree with pmik. I would recommend others to go. My family and I enjoyed TGR Exotics on 10/30/2010. I have a 21 month old son. He had a great time meeting a Tamanduas (\'Lesser Anteater\'), camels, pigs, ponies, and a kangaroo (which was missing a foot, but not "injured" and could get around just fine...sooo cute). I have been to other pumpkin patches in the past and they did not have anything for a child under 3 to do. At this place he could paint a pumpkin, color, and dig in corn with plenty of toys. My son thought it was funny to have the camels chew on his fingers during the hay ride. They even had a section where kids could bounce on balls. They had areas set up where you could get great family pictures. They say on their website that the big animals aren't open to the public during the pumpkin patch time...so no surprise. You could still see some of them. Some of the monkeys were visible, they were near the camel ride.You could bring your own lunch and sit at picnic tables. They have sanitizer, soap, and water stations. As for the pumpkins themselves, we thought they had a great selection. Last year we went to a popular pumpkin patch (in the area) a week before Halloween and we had trouble finding one that wasn't rotting. At TGR they had nothing but great pumpkins in a variety of sizes. We got a large one and a small one. Yes you do pay to do things, but you also pay at other pumpkin patches. I'm so glad we found a patch we could all enjoy. We will be going back next year!

We went for the pumpkin patch and the chance to see animals that are not your everyday farm types and we were not impressed. The few animals that you could pet was piglets, an injured kangeroo and a pony, but nothing out of the ordinary. And you couldn't see half the animals they had locked up, they have screens over the cages or fence posts that prohibit you and your kids from even viewing the animals. If you have kids under 3, I do not recommend as any child younger can not participate in the crafts which is the majority of the things to do here. There is a camel ride but you pay $5 and it last only 5 minutes, I guess its a photo opp. for your kids, to get them on a camel. The keepers show was supposed to show an exotic animal not on display, rather than bringing out a monkey or the giant guinea pig, it was an armadillo =( The cost isn't bad, $3 entry and then you pay for the rest of the crafts and rides. I suggest eating before you go and don't expect to spend all day there. We were there for about an hour and saw everything they had to offer, no crafts as my child was too young for them. We ended up not getting a pumpkin either...

Such a great event for all ages! My kids just love going, nothing like it around. They have a variety of animals, great pumpkins and very nice people!
