Tattoos for Tots
takes temporary tattoos out of the realm of pure entertainment by adding an educational element. The tattoos combine colorful objects that are sure to grab a child's attention (trains, trees, sharks, flowers, suns, zebras, etc.) with the printed words for the objects. The result: Children become familiar with words and letters as they show off their tattoos
. Each sheet contains four tattoos and a couple of accent letters. We like to put the accent letters on one part of our children's bodies and have them try to find the letters' corresponding tattoos on other parts of their bodies. Who knew that tattoos could be so educational? Application and removal
are pretty standard for temporary tattoos. To apply, choose a design, peel off the clear plastic cover, apply face-down to skin, cover with a wet cloth for about 30 seconds, then remove the paper to reveal the tattoo. The tattoos stay on the skin for several weeks if no special effort is made to remove them, however they are only vibrantly colorful for the first few days or so. When tattoo removal is desired, put some rubbing alcohol on a cloth/cotton ball and rub the tattoo until it's gone. In a pinch, hand sanitizer is a suitable substitute for the rubbing alcohol. We also successfully removed older tattoos by using liquid soap on a cloth. The Tattoos For Tots website recommends using a combination of baby oil and rubbing alcohol to remove the tattoos, but we didn't find that the addition of baby oil made the removal any easier (although it did make things smell quite nice). The tattoos are sold in packages of two sheets. The packages are themed (fruit, ocean animals, nature, farm animals, vehicles, pirates, dinosaurs, etc.), making it easy to choose tattoos to fit a child's specific interests. Fun Pack Singles are also available; parents select one design and get twenty single tattoos of that design - a great idea for party favors
