The historic Texas State Railroad - founded in 1881 - travels through the scenic piney woods, creek bottoms, and rolling hills of East Texas between Palestine and Rusk.
Round trips depart from both the Palestine and Rusk Depots at 11am, returning at 3:30pm. The 25-mile excursions take about 90 minutes each way with an hour-and-a-half lunch layover at the opposite train depot. Concessions and restrooms are also available on board.
