Kids clamoring to sail through the air with the greatest of ease? Little ones, six and up, can try the outdoor Trapeze School New York.

Classes and programs are geared for every level of expertise, and even the most fearful beginner usually takes to the feeling of flight.

Parents must be present when their children under 12 are in class, unless special arrangements have been made. A parent must sign a waiver in the presence of a Trapeze School staff member for any student under the age of 18. And, of course, parents can swing, too!

Birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and more can also be accommodated. Call for details. All equipment is designed to be well above required safety standards and is kept in tiptop shape through constant maintenance. The instructors use a fully rated spotting system for the ladder, a double spotting system, and safe comfortable belts for protection when flying. The soft, stretchy net always assures a nice landing.

Wear snug-fitting clothes - tights, shorts, yoga pants, or snug sweat pants always work well, and shirts with sleeves (even very short ones) are a good idea. Bring a pair of socks or light slippers to wear while flying, and sandals or flip flops to wear between turns. On hot days, also bring a towel. Kids with long hair should pull it back in a ponytail to ensure visibility.
