about UMSL Schwartz Observatory:

The University of Missouri St. Louis Schwartz Observatory is used for astronomical research and for public education. The main telescope at the observatory is 14-inch Celestron Schmidt Cassegrain.

Regularly scheduled Open Houses allow families to visit the observatory and observe certain planets (based on season); all Open House sessions also include viewing of the first quarter Moon, along with additional deep sky objects such as visible nebulae and galaxies.

tips:

Large groups (30 or more) can schedule their own open houses.

Located on the University of Missouri St. Louis North campus, near the Fine Arts Building. Driving directions can be found online.
