Webster University frequently hosts community events on its campus, including concerts, festivals, and theater productions.
The Community Music School offers music education and performance opportunities to students of all ages and abilities. Faculty members of the Community Music School include world-class performers and professional teachers trained to teach students of all ages. Classes include violin, Young Years parent/child classes, group music appreciation, chamber music, and more.
During summer 2010, Webster Community School hosts all kinds of nifty camps for babies, kids, and teens. A sampling of the offerings:
Kindermusik Adventures Family Camp for children birth through seven years and their caregivers;
Week-long Band Camp for students entering grades 7-12;
A four-day Flute Camp for students entering grades 7-12;
and Choir Camp, a week-long camp for students entering grades 4 through 9.
Kids can also take advantage of individual instruction in all band and orchestral instruments, piano, guitar, and voice.
