Wishcraft guides kids as they discover the creative muscle in their heads and hands. For the summer and every season (including those funny days when school is closed) Wishcraft camps and classes engage the imagination with inventive projects appropriate for kids 5-9 and 9-14. Kids build skills, friendships and confidence as they explore art, fashion, design, photography, DIY craft and more. Our planet-friendly and allergy-conscious workshop is a licensed Children�¢??s Activities Facility offering small-group camps and classes that ensure lots of instructor engagement, as well as 2 floors of fun and a grassy yard with sun/shade. Summer programs start early in the season and keep going until school starts.

Wishcraft is a funordinary place in which students learn to be artists. Yes, we teach art. More importantly, we teach creativity. The workshop provides a quality learning experience, showing that the application of math, science and spatial reasoning can create something functional and fun (shush, don�¢??t tell!) Open-ended projects are designed for ready-success and skills are taught within the context of relevant projects with a no-judgment philosophy. Creative reuse is encouraged and many of the projects use recycled or found materials. Eco-craftiness is celebrated. DIY skills are developed.

Opened in 2008 in Chicago�¢??s Roscoe Village neighborhood, Wishcraft won a Nickelodeon Parents' Pick award within the first year of opening. The workshop is an independent, locally-grown Chicago business.
