Wyck, a National Historic Landmark house, was home to nine generations of the same Quaker family, the Wistars and the Haines. The property features a quietly elegant home, gardens, farm buildings, and collection of objects and papers that reflect the everyday life of one Philadelphia family over three hundred years. The grounds include a garden of old roses (more than 30 varieties), which grow in their original plan dating from the 1820s, and original buildings that include a smoke house, an ice house, and a carriage house. Tours of Wyck are available by appointment.
