Abuelo's ("Grandfather's") delivers the genuine hospitality and delicious cuisine of Mexico in an attractive and family-friendly atmosphere. Mom and Dad can choose from lunch and dinner portions of traditional Mexican fare or more adventurous dishes such as Chile Manzanillo, imperial crab stuffed in a fresh roasted poblano pepper and covered with shrimp, scallops, mushrooms and red peppers in a creamy lobster sauce. It's served with rice for $15.95. Los Mejores de la Casa ("the best of the house") is a delectable combination of bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin medallions and bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with jalapeno and cheese, wood-grilled and served with papas con chile (a Mexican potato casserole) and frijoles charros (charro beans) for $17.95. If there's still room following all that food plus bottomless chips and salsa, try the traditional flan (Mexican egg custard) or dulce de leche cheesecake (topped with a luscious creamy caramel sauce) for $4.95.
