The 7,500-square foot facility, which opened in 2001, houses 40,000 volumes, including books, large-print books, periodicals, audiocassettes, videos, and compact discs. Branch features include: online computers offering the catalog to the entire system's collection, a variety of databases, and access to the Internet; a Gates Learning Lab with word processing facilities; a 75-seat meeting room for library programs and community meetings; and a separate children's area. The artwork on the front of the Adams Park Branch library is by Ayokunle Odeleye. Preschool storytimes are held weekly on Tuesdays, but check with the branch for exceptions.
