Adventure Island is Tampa's premier water park, located next to Busch Gardens Adventure Park. The 30-acre water park features an array of flumes, tubes, slides, and rides including Riptide, a four-lane mat slide designed for racing; Wahoo Run, a family raft ride through a corkscrew course; and 230-feet of intertwined translucent tubes known as the Caribbean Corkscrew. Other in-park attractions include Endless Surf, a 17,000-square-foot wave pool that generates waves up to 5 feet high; Paradise Lagoon, a 9,000-square foot pool with water falls, cable drops, slides and platforms for cliff jumping; the half-mile Rambling Bayou, which slowly floats visitors through a tranquil tropical setting; and Splash Attack, a crazy conglomeration of flumes, tubes, jets, and slides fueled by gushing water. The younger set will be right at home at Fabian's Funport, a kiddie section with bubbly springs, jumping jets, a mini wave pool and water-friendly play area. The park features several dining spots, including the Surfside Cafe, Mango Joes', and the Bayou Beach Club. Ice cream and frozen novelties are available at numerous locations throughout the park.
