Built in 1929, Akron Civic Theatre was fashioned after a Moorish castle featuring Mediterranean decor, including medieval carvings, authentic European antiques and Italian alabaster sculptures.
Children love the Civic thanks to its distinction as an atmospheric theater where patrons experience a twinkling star-lit sky and intermittent clouds moving across the horizon, while sitting inside the auditorium.
Restored and expanded in 2001, the Civic brings big name performers, Broadway shows, and a variety of family-friendly acts to Akron.
Tickets may be purchased in person at the Civic Theatre Box Office, or by calling 330.253.2488, Monday through Friday, 11am-5pm.
Baby changing stations are available in restrooms on the Promenade level; concession selections are limited.

From Cleveland, take I-77 South to the Route 59/Martin Luther King Expressway exit (21C). Exit at Cascade & Market Street. Turn right onto Center Street. Turn left onto Bowery. Turn right at Main Street.
