Al Gelato definitely counts as one of those 'in the know' spots, but those in the know are getting some amazing ice cream.
Family owned and run, with all gelato made on the premises to a family recipe, this cafe serves true Italian gelato, the like of which is not to be found this side of the Mediterranean. There is also a full menu of terrific, home-made Italian food which has garnered a loyal following, but the thing that keeps the lines of cars looking for parking on a summer evening is defiitely the rich, creamy, delicious ice cream. Taste several before choosing; our favorite is the cappucino!
