About Albuquerque Aquarium
The Albuquerque BioPark is sure to deliver a day of education, fun, fantasy, and a huge variety of living friends (plant, animal, and human). The BioPark consists of the Albuquerque Aquarium, the Rio Grande Botanic Garden, and the Rio Grande Zoo.
The Albuquerque Aquarium exhibits a variety of native species (like the Rio Grande Trout) as well as a collection of saltwater species from the Gulf of Mexico.
The impressive shark tank is home to a variety of sharks, colorful reef fish, sea turtles, and more.
Smaller tanks display sea horses, jelly fish, eels, and even some of Nemo's relatives.
The Touch Pool and Discovery Stations provide some hands-on activities.
Snacks, bathrooms, and other services can be found in the Main Plaza, which is shared with the Rio Grande Botanic Gardens.
For a sit-down meal and a few more tanks of colorful fish, the Shark Reef Cafe is located near the Aquarium exit.
The Aquarium Shop carries a variety of ocean-themed toys, t-shirts, hats, and more. Admission includes both the Rio Grande Botanic Garden and the Aquarium. Family membership to the New Mexico BioPark Society starts at $79/year. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
