Adjacent to the Allens Lane Art Center, the Allens Lane Playground has plenty for kids of all ages. There are outdoor tennis courts; two climbing structures with slides; swings for babies, toddlers, and school-age children; and - a favorite - a tire swing. Parents can relax on benches throughout the playground. If kids (or parents) get bored or restless, there is an entrance to trails in Fairmount Park located in the rear of the playground, close to the parking lot. On the other side of the Art Center, there is a playing field that can be used for soccer games, frisbee, or touch football.
getting there:
Located at the Allens Lane Art Center. The entrance is on Allens Lane, between two stone pillars, and a parking lot is available next to the Center.
