Perched atop Pacific Heights, this large, grassy park contains a small but well-equipped, fenced, sand-surfaced playground with one of the most stunning views in the city. The playground is best suited for children ages 8 and under; older kids can take advantage of tennis and basketball courts, or simply enjoy running around the vast grounds.
getting there:
Parking is generally available in this residential area, though don't count on it. Buses 3 and 24 can take you there. To get to the playground itself, enter the park on Scott at Washington Street.
